Cilento, it was summer and not so long ago, when fishermen were still granted income by fishing for swordfish or tuna.
The Ferrettara (reference network, with 18 cm mesh), was the hope, it was survival. Today it is a sword of Damocles, especially for young fishermen like Salvatore, who had recently invested his savings in a revival of the trade, but was immediately forced to take care of the problem still unresolved.
The Ferrettara, 18 cm, is no longer legal today. In addition to having lowered the mesh to 15 cm, the State has banned fishing for Spada and Tunas.
For these fishermen, a makeshift fishing, squid, cod, and shrimp do not make up for it, but restore that minimum of dignity to this noble profession.
